How to optimize export and production runs
For the best results when exporting or producing items, follow these guidelines:
Export to a high-speed drive that is located on the eDiscovery server.
Avoid conducting multiple export runs at once. If this is unavoidable, store the output from each run on a different drive.
Export email messages in their original format, if you can. This is much faster than encapsulating the messages in a single Personal Folders (
.pst
) file.Only export items in HTML format when this is essential.
If the case review set includes Exchange journal messages that the Enterprise Vault SMTP Archiving feature has archived, select
to stop eDiscovery from exporting multiple copies of some of the messages. If an export fails for any reason, use the Re-try facility in preference to the Re-Export facility.
