NetBackup Job Finalized alert rule (patch 11.4.03)

NetBackup IT Analytics is enhanced with a new rule NetBackup Job Finalized Successful. Using this rule, you can configure alerts for the jobs which are successfully completed.

The alerts can be configured on successful NetBackup jobs for the selected Policy, Policy Type, Job Type, and NetBackup server.

Warning:

NetBackup IT Analytics recommends to outline the scope of the alert using the Scope dialog box. If the scope criteria is NOT restricted or well-defined, it will potentially cause numerous alerts.

For example: In the scope dialog box, if the Policy Type, Primary Server name, and/or Policy is NOT defined, and only Job Type as Full Backup is defined, NetBackup IT Analytics will generate numerous alerts for all servers, policies, and policy types.

Alerts can only be set up with the Primary Server and Job Type parameters, with the Job Type having a lower number of associated jobs in NetBackup. For example, Deployment.
