Install options
Determine whether to do a Standard or Split Architecture Install. Standard install includes using the embedded Oracle license bundled with the NetBackup IT Analytics software and installing Oracle on the NetBackup IT Analytics Portal server. This is the most common installation method.
If you have Shared Services Edition and are providing your own Oracle, you can choose to install an Oracle Server either on the NetBackup IT Analytics Portal Server or install Oracle on a remote server. Installing Oracle on a remote server is referred to as a Split Architecture install.
