Next steps

After completing the Portal installation:

  1. The best practice is to perform a cold backup of the Oracle database before you make the Portal operational use. This will save a copy for restore in the event of an accidental data loss. See Performing a cold backup of the database .

  2. Add a Data Collector on the Portal and install the Data Collector software on the Data Collector server. Refer to the Data Collector installation guide relevant to the workload from which you wish to derive data.
