Changed behavior
Review the following points before you upgrade:
In version 8.2, you can configure IPv6 addresses for the private network. When you upgrade to 8.2, IPv6 addresses from network range fd00::/115 are reserved for the private network. Ensure that you do not use IP addresses from this range.
Note:
There is no preupgrade check to verify that there is no conflict. You must ensure that the fd00::/115 IPv6 address range is available.
In version 8.2, the default private subnet is changed to 255.255.224.0/19, which provides 8190 host IP addresses.
When you upgrade to 8.2, the NetBackup catalog backup will be disabled while the upgrade is in progress. The backup for the NetBackup catalog is enabled after the upgrade is complete.
