Using the OVF Tool to deploy a Cloud Catalyst appliance

The section describes how to deploy a NetBackup Virtual Appliance Cloud Catalyst by using the VMware OVF Tool.

Note:

This procedure requires a vCenter Server. For how to deploy an OVF package directly on an ESXi host, see the following technical article.

To deploy a Cloud Catalyst appliance using the VMware OVF Tool

Log on to the vCenter Server where you want to deploy your appliance.
Note:
Your vCenter Server user account must have at least the minimum privileges required to deploy an OVF template. Refer to the VMware documentation for more information.
Use the VMware OVF Tool to run the following command, substituting the environment information that you gathered for the parameters that are marked with angular brackets (<>) and in italics:
```
ovftool
--name=<nbva_name>
--acceptAllEulas
--net:"VM Network=<vm_network>"
--allowAllExtraConfig
--datastore=<vm_datastore>
--powerOn
<nbva_ova>
vi://<vCenter_username>:<vCenter_password>/?ip=<hostIPaddress>
```
