How to enable Message Reconciliation report for Arctera Insight Platform

Description

The Message Reconciliation report presents a comprehensive reconciliation of electronic communication data captured into Arctera Insight Archiving Platform via Arctera Insight Capture and Arctera Journaling systems. The goal of the report is to validate that all collected and received data sources have been appropriately archived, while highlighting any discrepancies such as duplicates, unprocessed items, or exclusions. The schedule and recipient list for these reports are defined by the customer at the time of setup, ensuring consistent delivery to the appropriate stakeholders each day. Below is an example of how the Message Reconciliation report would look. 

Below is the definition of the various fields used on this report. 

• Message Reconciliation for Items Collected via Alta Capture: This report reflects the messages processed by Alta Capture for each importer for the previous 24 hours. Below are the data points for this report:
  • Importer Name - name given to the importer.
  • Session ID - the job session number for the specific import job.
  • Run Date - date the import job was executed.
  • Total Collected - number of items collected by an importer from source and sent to Arctera Insight Platform. 
  • Total Archived - number of items Arctera Insight archived successfully into tenant.
  • Total Duplicate - number of items seen as a duplicate item, and did not archive (a single item is archived).
  • Invalid Domain - the number of items that have a domain that is not registered to the tenant (items are still archived).
  • Total Failed - total number of items that Arctera Insight did not archive because it could not process the item i.e. file is corrupted and could not be parsed.
  • Total Unprocessed - number of items that have not yet completed processing in Arctera Insight Archiving side as they are still in the processing stage.
  • Archive Exclusion - number of items that have been excluded to be archived due to various different parameters.  
• Message Reconciliation for Items Received via Journaling: This report reflects the journaled messages for each journal address for the previous 24 hours. Below are the data points for this report:
  • Journal Address - journal address on which items were received for a company. 
  • Run Date - date that the journaled items were received.
  • Total Collected - total number of items that was received by Arctera Insight archiving.
  • Total Archived - total number of items archived by Arctera Insight archiving.
  • Total Duplicate - total number of items seen as duplicates, and only 1 item was archived.  The rest were dropped.
  • Invalid Domain - total number of items that belong to unregistered domains.
  • Total Failed - total number of items that Arctera Insight did not archive because it could not process the item.  i.e. file is corrupted and could not be parsed.
  • Total Unprocessed -number of items that have not yet completed processing in Arctera Insight Archiving as they are still in the processing stage.
  • Archive Exclusion - number of items that have been excluded from archived due to various different parameters.

To get this report, please contact Arctera Technical Support, and request this report to be enabled. While doing so, please provide the users(recipient list) to whom this report should be sent. Also,  provide the schedule(time) when it should be sent via email.
