  • How do I request to get provisioned for Alta View and select a specific location for the service?

Customers with valid NetBackup entitlements can raise an Alta View provisioning request by submitting an online form : Get started with Veritas Alta View today. | Veritas.

Currently (January 2025), you may select either of these four regions as the location of service deployment:

 

  • Can the location of the service (provisioned region) be changed post provisioning?

Once provisioned, the region cannot be changed. 

  • If we have been provisioned in multiple regions, can the data and configuration settings be migrated from one region to another?

You may choose to remove (Delete a NetBackup domain in Veritas Alta View) the NetBackup domain from an existing region and add it to the new region manually (Add a NetBackup domain). However, any historical data and configuration settings from old region may not be accessible in new region. The data cannot be transferred or migrated between regions.
