Problem

The upgrade process is currently paused.

Error Message

V-409-777-8001: The upgrade process is currently PAUSED. To clear the PAUSED status, log in to the IPMI console and select one of the following actions: [a] Attempt the self-test again; [r] Rollback now. If you do not respond on the IPMI console within one hour, a rollback occurs automatically. For assistance, contact Technical Support.

Cause

Specific Problems are detected during the post-upgrade self-test.

Solution

Note: If you do not respond on the IPMI console within one hour, a rollback occurs automatically. For assistance, contact Technical Support.

To clear the PAUSED status, log in to the IPMI console and select one of the two options on the AIM(Appliance Install Manager) window:

  • Option 1(recommended): Type the A key to attempt the self-test again.

              Select this option to reserve one hour first; Address all the reported errors and select this option again. During the debug, you can always go back to the AIM window to reserve another hour since then.
              To access the post-upgrade self-test errors, refer to the UMI article V-409-777-8002 Appliance post-upgrade self-test failed.
             

  • Option 2: Type the R key to rollback the appliance.
