Preparing for an upgrade of Storage Foundation
Before the upgrade of Storage Foundation to a new release, synchronize snapshots.
To prepare for an upgrade of Storage Foundation
- Log in as root.
- Stop activity to all file systems and raw volumes, for example by unmounting any file systems that have been created on volumes.
# umount mnt_point
- Stop all the volumes by entering the following command for each disk group:
# vxvol -g diskgroup stopall
- Upgrade AIX on your system to the required levels if applicable.
