Installing the Oracle RAC database software
Before you start the installation of Oracle database, make sure that Oracle Clusterware/Grid Infrastructure is up and running. Veritas recommends you to install the Oracle database locally on each node.
Note:
For Oracle RAC 11g: Check if the "rootpre" directory and the "rootpre.sh" script are available in the Oracle RAC 11g installation media. If they are not available, download them as described in the Oracle metalink document: 468472.1.
Note:
If you want to install Oracle database on VxFS or CFS, make sure that you created the appropriate storage before proceeding with the installation.
