Weekly backups
On one day each week you should complete additional backup tasks. You do not need to complete these tasks during an Enterprise Vault backup window. Although you might choose to schedule these tasks during the weekend, if necessary they could take place during a normal working day.
The additional weekly backup tasks are as follows:
Refresh your backups of closed vault store partitions to ensure you have a permanent backup of newly closed partitions.
Refresh your backups of closed index volumes to ensure you have a permanent backup of newly closed index volumes.
Back up the operating system and all the applications on your Enterprise Vault server.
