Updating the Enterprise Vault site alias
After you move Enterprise Vault to the new server, you need to update the site alias to point to the new server.
To update the site alias
- On the SQL Server computer, click Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > DNS.
- Expand Forward Lookup Zones and click DomainName.
- In the right-hand pane, right-click EnterpriseVaultSite and click Properties.
- In Fully qualified domain name (FQDN) for target host, browse to select the new server.
- Click OK to save the change.
- Restart the DNS server. Right-click the server and click All Tasks, and then Restart.
