About multi-site cross domain and BasicDisk storage
You can replicate the images that are stored on non-staging BasicDisk storage between domains. The replication target must be mounted against the same mount point on a media server in the DR domain. Also, set the FAILOVER_RESTORE_MEDIA_SERVER parameter to ensure that the correct media server is selected. For example, you can replicate a BasicDisk storage unit using the mount point /BD1 on media server prdmed1 in the production domain to the DR domain. /BD1 can be mounted on a media server drmed1, if the bp.conf file on the DR primary server is edited to set FAILOVER_RESTORE_MEDIA_SERVER = prdmed1 drmed1. This setting is only possible for the BasicDisk storage units that do not act as staging storage units and are not supported with staging storage units or other disk types.
