IBM Storwize plug-in configuration parameters
Specify the following parameters when you configure the IBM Storwize SAN plug-in:
Table: IBM Storwize plug-in configuration parameters
Snapshot Manager for Data Center configuration parameter | Description |
|---|---|
Plugin ID | Provide a name for the plugin. |
FQDN/ IP Address | The array's IP address, in IPV4 / FQDN format. |
Port | Port on which IBM Storwize is configured. |
Username | A user account that has permissions to perform snapshot operations on the IBM Storwize array. |
Password | Provide a password to the user account. |
The following considerations and limitations are applicable:
During the delete and deport operations the array is not allowed to perform the operations until the vDisk protection is disabled. So, NetBackup disables the vDisk protection when these operations are triggered and then return to the original state. These operations doesn't have any impact on the existing mapping or I/O operations performed on the array.
During the restore operation a standard warning about the FlashCopy mapping is displayed on the array. Then NetBackup restores the volume irrespective of the same behavior observed on the array side.
The array doesn't support ipV6 configuration from NetBackup and can only use ipV4 for all its' operations.
