Backing up an Oracle database using Oracle copilot policy with universal share
Before you configure Oracle copilot instant access, you must back up the Oracle database using the Oracle copilot policy with universal share.
To back up Oracle copilot with universal share
- Create a universal share with the NFS protocol.
Refer to the information on creating a universal share in the
NetBackup Web UI Administrator's Guide. - Mount the universal share on the Oracle client.
- Create an Oracle Copilot policy and then in Backup Selections, select the mount point of the universal share.
Refer to the NetBackup™ Copilot™ for Oracle Configuration Guide for information about how to configure an Oracle copilot policy.
Note:
Oracle copilot backup policy does not support Flex WORM, MSDP AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), and MSDP EKS(Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service).
