Recovering duplicated images from AdvancedDisk

PaaS restores are not supported from a duplicated image if the image resides on an AdvanceDisk storage. As a workaround, you can perform the following steps:

Pre-requisite:

  1. Media server version associated with the MSDP server must be 10.0.1 or above.

  2. Ensure that ushare is setup and configured on the MSDP server.

  3. Add a ushare path.

To recover, do the following:

  1. Using the Catalog in web UI, manually duplicate the image to a MSDP storage. See NetBackup WebUI Administrator's Guide for details.

    Note:

    To duplicate from a second copy, click search again after selecting duplicate option in catalog view.

  2. Once the duplication job completes, ensure that the new recovery point is visible for the given asset in web UI.
  3. Start a restore job, See Recovering PaaS assets.
