Restore a database (non-administrator users)

Non-administrators can perform restores of SQL Server. However, additional requirements and configuration steps are required.

The following requirements exist for a non-administrator:

  • Is a member of the domain users group.

  • Has the sysadmin role on the local SQL Server.

  • Has full access control to the following:

    • install_path\NetBackup\dbext\mssql folder

    • HKLM\SOFTWARE\ODBC registry hive

    • install_path\NetBackup\logs\user_ops folder

Restore a database (non-administrator users)
