Edit protection settings for a VMware asset
If you have the necessary role permissions, you can edit certain settings for a protection plan, including schedules and other options.
To edit protection settings for a VMware asset
- On the left, click Workloads > VMware.
- Do one of the following:
Edit the settings for a VM
On the Virtual machines tab, click on the VM that you want to edit.
Edit the settings for an intelligent group
On the Intelligent VM groups tab, click on the group that you want to edit.
- Click Customize protection > Continue.
- If you have the necessary role permissions you can adjust one or more of the following settings:
Schedules and retention
Change the backup start window.

- Click Protect.
