Creating the selective journaling rules file
This section describes how to create a file of journaling filtering rules.
To set up the filtering rules file
- Log on to the Exchange Journaling task computer as the Vault Service account.
- Use Notepad to create a file called SelectiveJournal_config.dat in the Enterprise Vault installation folder (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault).
- In the file, specify the rules that you want the filter to use to select journaled messages for archiving.
- Save the file as a Unicode file.
