OPatch installation steps
- As a root user, copy the
opatchfile from/tmpto/opt/aptare/oraclefolder.mv p6880880_190000_Linux-x86-64.zip /opt/aptare/oracle - Set the PATH.
export PATH=$PATH:/opt/aptare/oracle/OPatch - Rename the OPatch folder and unzip the
opatchfile.cd /opt/aptare/oracle mv Opatch Opatch_old unzip p6880880_190000_Linux-x86-64.zip
The above command will create a folder with name
OPatchin/opt/aptare/oracle. - Set permission on the
opatchfolder.chown -R aptare:dba /opt/aptare/oracle/OPatch - Run the following command to check the OPatch version:
OPatch/opatch version OPatch Version 12.2.0.1.36 OPatch succeeded.
