Configuring Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Account
To configure Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Account
- In the Console, click Settings > Cloud Sources
- Click Add New Cloud Source and click Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- Provide Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Account Name
- Select the Collector and Indexer.
Note:
For the Collector, only RHEL 9 or Oracle Linux 9 is supported, and the machine must be an OCI instance within the same availability domain in OCI.
- After selecting the collector and indexer, enter the Client Credentials information as per the table given below.
- Add Tenancy OCID, User OCID, API Key FingerPrint, and API Private Key(.pem). For information about how to obtain these details, refer to Required Keys and OCIDs
- After adding the details, click Authorize.
The system will validate the credentials you provide before allowing you to proceed to the next step. If there is any discrepancy, an error message will appear prompting you to correct the credentials.
- Check Discover shares automatically if you want Information Governance to discover newly added shares. You can also exclude specific shares by adding it in the provided space.
- Enable Filer Scanning will be selected by default. It is recommended not to uncheck the box.
- Check the Scan newly added cloud exports immediately box if you want Information Governance to scan newly added shares immediately and provide required details.
- Choose the full scan schedule by selecting the appropriate radio button.
- Click Save to complete the process.
CIFS shares scanning is not supported.
Auditing not supported
Windows operating systems are not supported for use as a Collector.
Policies cannot be applied to this storage.
Workflow is not supported.
Activity Details, Activity Summary, and Capacity Reports are not supported.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure account will be added. You can find the device by clicking Cloud Sources in the left pane. For OCI, the private IP of the mount target is added as a prefix for OCI exports. You can verify this by selecting the added cloud source and checking the Monitored Shares tab.
