Managing vendor packages
The vendor packages are pre-installed on out of the box appliance nodes. However, the vendor packages are not installed with the ISO and you need to install the vendor packages separately on the nodes. In earlier versions, the RPMs for the vendor packages were included and installed from a tar file. You can download the required vendor packages from the Veritas Download Center or from the hardware vendor site if you require a later version of the package or a new package that is not present on the Download Center. The list of required vendor packages for each hardware vendor platform is maintained in the vendor_utilities.json
file. You can update this file if the required vendor packages change or to support new vendor platform. You can upgrade and uninstall the packages that you install.
