About NIC1 (eth0) port usage on the appliance nodes
By default, NIC1 (eth0) is set to IP address 192.168.229.233. This private network address is reserved to provide a direct connection from a laptop to perform the initial configuration of the IPMI interface. The eth0 IP address cannot be changed. The eth0 is only used for the initial configuration of the IPMI interface or in situations where eth1 and IPMI are not reachable.
