Adding the client-side certificate

Use the Certificate setting on the Advanced tab of the vault store partition properties to add the client-side certificate. The certificate should be in PEM format. If the certificate file is in a different format, you can use the standard OpenSSL command-line tool to convert certificates to the PEM format. Refer to the OpenSSL documentation for more information.

To add the client-side certificate

  1. On the Advanced tab of the vault store partition properties, double-click Certificate.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Specify the following:

    • Name. This is a mandatory parameter. Enter a unique name for the certificate file.

    • Certificate file. This is a mandatory parameter. Browse to select the client-side certificate file.

    • Private key file.This is a mandatory parameter. Browse to select the private key file.

    • Private key file passphrase. Specify the passphrase for the private key file.

  4. Click OK to save the settings.
