Disaster recovery of a Hadoop cluster
For disaster recovery of the Hadoop cluster, perform the following tasks:
Table: Performing disaster recovery
Task | Description |
|---|---|
After the Hadoop cluster and nodes are up, prepare the cluster for operations with NetBackup. | Perform the following tasks: Update firewall settings so that the backup hosts can communicate with the Hadoop cluster. Ensure that webhdfs service is enabled on the Hadoop cluster. |
To establish a seamless communication between Hadoop clusters and NetBackup for successful backup and restore operations, you must add and update Hadoop credentials to NetBackup primary server. | Use tpconfig command to add Hadoop credentials in NetBackup primary server. |
The backup hosts use the | With this release, the following plug-in settings can be configured |
Update the BigData policy with the original NameNode name. |
