Changing the default retention period for a database source

You can change the default retention period for a database source or set the default retention period if it was not specified when a database source was added. If you change the default retention period for a database source, the revised retention period only applies to newly-created database copies. The initial retention period that was set for existing database copies does not change.

If you want to keep an individual database copy for a longer or shorter amount of time than is set in the default retention period, you can change the retention date for the database copy.

To change the default retention period for a database source

From the Velocity Cloud Console, in the left pane, click Database Sources.
Select the row that the database source appears on, and then click Details.
Click Manage Retention.
Select the amount of time that you want to keep the data.
Click Apply.
