NetBackup™ Self Service Release Notes
New features and enhancements
SQL Server workload support
NetBackup Self Service currently only supports backup, protect, and unprotect functionality for databases, database instances, and restore databases. Additional features are planned for future releases.
Added support for multifactor authentication.
Added support for NetBackup Self Service alternate restore of a namespace to a different name or existing namespace. Tenant users can choose to restore the namespace, giving them the flexibility to choose either an alternate namespace or restore it with a different name. This provides users with options for customizing the restoration process according to their specific needs.
Note:
Restoring to a different Kubernetes cluster is not available in this release.
Added support for tenants to perform a granular restore of Kubernetes objects, such as secrets and pods. This feature allows for a more refined and a more selective restore of specific Kubernetes entities.
Added support to disable backup expiration in the NetBackup Self Service restore workflow. This feature restricts tenant users from expiring images. A global flag has been added so that NetBackup Self Service administrators can enable this flag to ensure that no tenant is allowed to expire images.
