Summary

A vulnerability was discovered in Veritas eDiscovery Platform versions 10.2.4, and prior, which allowed the application administrator to upload potentially malicious files to arbitrary locations on the server on which the application is installed.

Prerequisites

A user with the ‘System Manager’ role accesses the eDiscovery Platform web application.

Affected Versions

Veritas eDiscovery Platform Versions 10.1, 10.2, 10.2.1, 10.2.2, 10.2.3, 10.2.4. Earlier unsupported versions of Veritas eDiscovery Platform may be affected as well.

Remediation

Customers under a current maintenance contract should update to the Veritas eDiscovery Platform as described below:

• For versions 10.1, upgrade to 10.2 and apply the 10.2.5 update.
• For version 10.2.x, apply the 10.2.5 update.
