Before configuring the service group for Sybase
Before you configure the Sybase service group, you must meet the following prerequisites:
Verify that VCS is installed and configured on all nodes in the cluster where you plan to configure the service group. For more information on configuring VCS see the Cluster Server Configuration and Upgrade Guide.
Verify that Sybase is installed and configured identically on all nodes in the cluster.
Verify that the Cluster Server agent for Sybase is installed on all nodes in the cluster.
Verify the type definition for Cluster Server agent for Sybase is imported into the VCS engine.
Note:
If you use the VCS Cluster Manager (Java Console) to configure attributes, the passwords are automatically encrypted; you need not encrypt them manually.
