Requirements for using Enterprise Vault AT&T Synaptic cloud storage

The following are the requirements for using AT&T Synaptic Storage as a Service:

  • Veritas Enterprise Vault 10.0.1 or later.

  • The AT&T Synaptic Storage Application ID and Shared Secret. Your Shared Secret is used to provide secure access to AT&T Synaptic Storage as a Service from within Enterprise Vault.

  • An AT&T Logical Storage Unit (LSU) to store data in the AT&T Cloud Services portal. The LSU represents the actual storage in the cloud.

Caution:

The system time on the computer that has Enterprise Vault installed must be synchronized with the time according to the local time zone. Otherwise the AT&T Synaptic Storage migrator cannot migrate data.

This guide assumes a working knowledge of Enterprise Vault tasks such as creating and configuring vault store partitions, archiving policies, and of AT&T Synaptic cloud storage concepts.
