NetBackup status code: 6798
Explanation: During a backup or restore operation, NetBackup was unable to find an available port on the MongoDB host to bind the thin client process to. This issue can happen if there are other NetBackup MongoDB backup or restore operations running on the MongoDB host. These operations are running at the same time and have used up the port range specified in the mongodb.conf
file on the NetBackup master server.
Recommended Action: Perform the following as appropriate:
Verify that the port range that is specified in the
mongodb.conf
file or tpconfig global settings is available on the MongoDB host. The port range is set using themdbserver_port
andmdbserver_port_range
settings.Increase the port number range by adjusting the setting to a higher value for
mdbserver_port_range
if you have:Parallel NetBackup backup or restore operations running on this host.
Multiple MongoDB instances running on this host.
