Description

Direct-to-Cloud support

Veritas System Recovery 18 users benefit from Direct-to-Cloud options. The options enable the users to:

  • Backup drives directly to cloud.

  • Backup data directly to cloud using Veritas System Recovery Disk.

  • Restore data directly from cloud.

  • Restore data directly from cloud using Veritas System Recovery Disk.

  • Copy or move existing recovery points to the cloud by using the copy or move recovery point options.

  • Mount recovery points in the cloud as a drive using Recovery Point Browser.

The Direct-to-Cloud feature is supported only on a 64-bit operating system.

Symantec LiveUpdate is now Veritas Update

Veritas Update replaces Symantec LiveUpdate for providing updates to Veritas System Recovery 18.

SMTP with TLS/SSL support

Veritas System Recovery 18 now supports SMTP with TLS (Transport Layer Security) and SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).
