Setting up a BMR boot server
Use the following procedure to set up a BMR boot server on an existing NetBackup system.
Note:
Before configuring BMR Boot server on NetBackup host, please make sure that NetBackup host is configured with the NetBackup master server. Refer NetBackup Administrator's Guide for registering NetBackup client with NetBackup master server.
To register a BMR boot server
- Navigate to the directory where NetBackup is installed. For example: on UNIX go to, /usr/openv/netbackup/bin
on Windows go to, c:\program files\veritas\netbackup\bin.
- Run the following command on the boot server host:
bmrsetupboot -register
On successful execution of the command you can see the boot server name in the NetBackup Administrator console:
. This command starts the BMR Boot server daemon running.
