New features in NetBackup 8.1.2
NetBackup integration with Vnomic: NetBackup 8.0 and later versions support integration of Vnomic orchestration software to provide data protection for Cisco FlexPod. This protection solution is applicable specifically for SAP HANA environments.
End of Life (EOL) of AIX and HP-UX master servers does not affect SAP clients: Starting with version 8.1.2, NetBackup no longer supports HP-UX and AIX platforms for master and media servers. However, NetBackup still supports client computers that run on HP-UX and AIX platforms.
Power 8 effect on SAP HANA databases: SAP HANA databases support Power 8 processors.
NetBackup supports SAP HANA cluster deployment with virtual host name.
