Centralized Windows Data Collection using SSH
NetBackup IT Analytics can now perform data collection from NetBackup on Windows using SSH by a non-administrator user. To accommodate this capability the Cohesity NetBackup Data Collector policy collection method options are modified as follows:
Data Collector installed on NetBackup Primary Server
SSH Protocol to NetBackup Primary Server(s) (Linux, Windows)
WMI Protocol to NetBackup Primary Server(s) (Windows Only)
The prerequisites to collect data from NetBackup Primary Server using SSH on Windows are as below:
NetBackup 10.4 or later must be installed.
OpenSSH server must be configued and operational on the NetBackup primary server.
The user is configured in NetBackup RBAC with the required authorization.
The user's API key is created.
