About the supported replication scenarios - Linux
In a cloud environment, you can use the Veritas storage sharing and replication technologies to replicate data in any of the following scenarios:
In this scenario, replication is set between an on-premises data center to an on-cloud data center. The on-premise data center can be configured as a primary site and the on-cloud data center as a secondary site.
In this scenario, replication is set between two on-cloud data centers that are located in different or same Availability Zones/VNETs (terminology varies with the vendor), within a same region. In the event of an Availability Zone/VNET failure, VVR/CVR replicates data from one Availability Zone/VNET to the second Availability Zone/VNET.
In this scenario, replication is set between two on-cloud data centers that are located in two different regions. You can configure a primary site in one region and a secondary site in another region. With CVR, the cluster can span across Availability Zones, protecting your data from Availability Zone failures.
In this scenario, replication is set between Azure and AWS cloud. You can configure one of the cloud as a primary site and the other as a disaster recovery site.
