Managing personal API tokens
You can generate a personal API token for a user account and use that token for API access. The personal API token has the same access permissions as the account. Check SORT for more information on the APIs.
Note:
You can also generate a personal API token for a service account but must do so through the APIs.
Use the following procedures to manage personal API tokens.
To generate a personal API token
- From the Flex Appliance Console, click your user icon in the top-right corner and click Generate personal API token.
- Fill in the required fields and click Generate.
- Follow the instructions to copy the key to a safe location.
To change the token expiration or reissue it if it has expired
- From the Flex Appliance Console, click your user icon in the top-right corner and click Manage personal API token.
- Click Change expiration or Reissue.
- Fill in the required fields and click Save or Reissue.
To revoke a token or delete it if it has expired
- From the Flex Appliance Console, click your user icon in the top-right corner and click Manage personal API token.
- Click Revoke or Delete.
- In the confirmation window that appears, click Revoke or Delete.
