Updating the price tier information manually on Management Server
You can update the price tier information manually when Management Server is not connected to the Internet, or you cannot set up a proxy server to access the Veritas Services and Operations Readiness Tools (SORT) website
To do this, you must download the pricetier.vbs
script file from Management Server and run it on a Windows system that has Internet connectivity. Extract the text file that contains the latest information on the price tiers. You must copy this text file to the system where Management Server is running and manually upload this text file.
Note:
You must use a Windows system to perform this operation.
To perform this task, your user group must be assigned the Admin role on the Management Server perspective.
To update the price tier information manually on Management Server
- In the Home page on the Management Server console, click Settings.
- Click SORT.
- In the Price Tier Download Settings tab, under Price Tier Manual Download do the following:
Click Download to download the pricetier.vbs script.
Copy the pricetier.vbs file to a Windows system that has Internet connectivity.
Run the following command to extract the
pricetier.txt
file that contains the information on the price tiers:cscript/NoLogo pricetier.vbs
Alternatively, you can double-click the script file to extract the text file. The
pricetier.txt
file is generated in the folder where you have downloaded the pricetier.vbs script file.Copy the
pricetier.txt
file to the system where Management Server is running.
- Click Browse to select the
pricetier.txt
file. - Click Upload.
- Click Close.
