Installing InfoScale and the operating system on the NIM client using SMIT
You can install InfoScale and the operating system on the NIM client using the SMIT tool.
Perform these steps on each node to have InfoScale and AIX installed in a cluster.
To install InfoScale and the operating system
- On the NIM server, start smitty for a NIM and operating system installation.
# smitty nim_bosinst
- In the menu, select the standalone target.
- In the menu, select spot - Install a copy of a SPOT resource.
- In the menu, select the spot resource spot-9000-up2date.
- In the menu, select the LPP_SOURCE. In this example, select LPP-9000-up2date.
In the menu, select the following options:
For the ACCEPT new license agreements option, specify yes.
- For the
installpflags, specify that the ACCEPT new license agreements flag has a yes value. - After the installation completes, configure InfoScale.
