A Java error can occur on AIX 7.1
On AIX 7.1, the following message may appear in the installer:
WARNING: Installation of Java LiveUpdate agent failed. Refer to file /tmp/JLU-Log/JavaLiveUpdate-Install.log on bmraix57 for more information.
If you encounter the message, run the following Java command and verify the error output:
# /usr/openv/java/jre/bin/java Error: Port Library failed to initialize: -125 Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.
If this error output is generated, refer to the following IBM support article to resolve the issue:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IV12285
Note:
Other errors can cause the warning message to appear. The output from the Java command can determine if the fix from IBM can resolve the issue.
