The VxFS component of Storage Foundation High Availability Solution 6.0.1, 6.0.2 & 6.0.3 fails to install or function with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.5
Problem
After installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.5 kernel update (https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2013-1645.html) or higher, the VERITAS Filesystem (VxFS) component of Veritas’s SFHA/SFCFSHA/SFRAC (6.0.1, 6.0.2 & 6.0.3) stack fails to install or function, due to breakages in the kernel interfaces.

Cause
VxFS component has a kernel compatibility issue with the RHEL 6.5 kernel update
Solution
Veritas have released Public Hot Fix 3 for VxFS 6.0.3 on SORT to resolve this issue:
This patch includes updates to VxFS & ODM compoents
Note:
- This patch requires SFHA 6.0.3
- Customers at SFHA 6.0.1 & 6.0.2 will be required to upgrade to SFHA 6.0.3 before installing the patch.
- This patch can be installed on RHEL 6.3, 6.4 & 6.5
- VxFS Public Hot fix 2 (6.0.3.200 for installation on VxFS 6.0.3) was previously available to address this incompatibility, but has been made obselete. VxFS 6.0.3 Public hotfix 3 should be used.
