Problem

After a factory reset operation is run on a NetBackup Appliance versions 2.0 and 2.0.1, the value of the OPTDUP_TIMEOUT attribute may get set to an empty string in the pd.conf file. The result is a parse error and the inability to read any additional attributes in the file. In addition, if the Fibre Channel is enabled, it is not honored.

Solution

To correct this issue, you must edit the OPTDUP_TIMEOUT attribute in the pd.conf file. The attached file describes the process of making this change.
