Problem

After applying the lms-Patch-8.0.2.020, a warning message for Product Entitlement is displayed on the License Management Service (LMS) dashboard, despite the license being successfully applied.

This can lead to ambiguity regarding the license configuration for the server since it reports the warning but continues to perform all expected operations.

Error Message

The following warning is displayed on the LMS dashboard:

Cross product mapping detected on <resource_name> for entitlement ID <entitlement_id>. Please try to assign its core unit(s) to an entitlement of same product type.

Cause

The issue is identified as a defect.

Solution

The warning does not affect licensing functionality or product usage. As the license has been successfully applied and validated, the warning can be safely ignored and no further action is required.

There are currently no plans to address this warning in the current or previous versions of the software. However, it is scheduled to be resolved in the next major product revision. Please note that the product engineering team reserves the right to remove any fix from the targeted release if it does not pass quality assurance tests.
