Problem 

Backing up M365 Teams and Sharepoint may fail with error "SaaS Connector Framework error - Access was denied" if a Teams channel is archived.

Error Message

Backup- domain.onmicrosoft.com{e11950cd-d987-3128-d34a-fcf3220cd17}O365FamilyO365SharePointV-79-57344-43293 - SaaS Connector Framework error - Access was denied.

Cause

When a Teams Channel is created, there is a corresponding Sharepoint site created for file sharing and collaboration.  When the Teams Channel is archived, the Sharepoint site is no longer accessible.

Solution

This issue is presently under investigation by our Engineering Team. Depending on the results of this investigation, it may be addressed through a patch or hotfix in current or future software releases. However, this specific issue is not currently scheduled for inclusion in any upcoming release. If this issue has a significant business impact on your continued use of the product, please contact your Sales representative or the Sales team to discuss your concerns.
