Quick object change scan for optimized accelerator backup

Overview

The quick option change scan feature significantly speeds up the NetBackup Accelerator, resulting in faster backups. 

1. Apart from an object's modification time, NetBackup also checks for changes in the object's tags and user attributes.
2. These factors help to determine whether the object qualifies for an accelerated backup or not. 
3. This gives a strict check for any change in an object however, it also adds cost of api calls and time to determine the changed objects.

Scenario to consider this option

In application environments where metadata changes do not occur after the objects are created, you can use this option to skip the metadata checks to significantly increase the backup speed.

Enabling this option speeds up change identification for the Accelerator, as it skips the tags and attribute checks of the objects since the previous backup.

• Keep in mind that the skipped objects are not backed up.
• The object metadata changes which do not result in a change in the modification time of the object are skipped.
