Accelerator Exports fail with error 0xc0047212

Problem

Enterprise Vault (EV) Compliance Accelerator (CA)/Veritas Advanced Surveillance (VAS) and Discovery Accelerator (DA) Exports fail with the error listed below for one or more items.

Error Message

Error Failed to retrieve: An internal failure occurred. Internal Error: '<0xc0047212>'.

Cause

The error 0xc0047212 translates to STORAGE_E_UNSUPPORTED_API_VERSION: The Content Management API is incompatible with the Enterprise Vault version. The error is due to a miss-match in the EV API/binaries version installed on the CA/VAS/DA Server(s) with the binaries version on the EV Server(s).

The EV API/binaries version installed on the CA/VAS/DA Server(s) must match the binary version on the EV Server(s), both in the major version and release update. For example, if EV is version 15.2.2, the EV API/binaries version installed on the CA/VAS/DA Server(s) must also be 15.2.2.
 

Solution

First, determine the version of the EV binaries. To do this, right-click on Enterprise Vault in the EV Vault Administration Console (VAC) and click About.

Once the EV version has been determined, install the same version of the EV API/binaries on the CA/VAS/DA Server(s). If a release update is installed on EV, it is required to first install the base version of the EV API/binaries, then install the release update version of the EV API/binaries on the CA/VAS/DA Server(s).
