Cause

This issue may occur if Backup Exec is being installed as a standalone install on one of Windows Cluster nodes and the 'Remote Registry' service on either of the node is stopped or disabled. This causes the SQL Express install to fail. Attempts to install SQL Express separately also fail with the above error.

SQL SERVER - Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Sdk. Sfc.EnumeratorException: Failed to Retrieve Data for This Request reg-remote-02-800x344

Solution

Make sure the Remote Registry service is started on both the Cluster nodes while installing Backup Exec as a standalone install on either of the nodes of the cluster.
