Initial Setup

  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled for Alta View customers, who use Auth0 local users instead of using their Identity providers (IdP - e.g. Azure AD).
  • During the first login/initial setup, a QR code will be provided to setup an authenticator App on your devices. You will have to open your preferred authentication app (e.g. Microsoft Authenticator, Cisco DAO, Google authenticator, etc.). Click on Add new account  and scan the OR code using the scan option shown on the screen.

  • A Recovery Code will be generated on subsequent screens, you must copy this code to a safe location. It will be needed while enrolling a new device.

  • For each subsequent login, a One-time Code will be asked. You can obtain this code from the Authenticator App (pre-configured during initial setup):

Reset MFA

  • Select the option to provide the Recovery Code (captured during initial setup/first login):

  • Enter the Recovery Code and hit Continue (this allows you to successfully log on to Veritas Alta View):

  • After login, select Reset multi-factor authentication:

  • On subsequent logins, you will see an option to setup the MFA again (with QR code to setup Authenticator App)
