NBA health maintenance plugin failed to collect the upgrade readiness status

Problem

If the Appliance Upgrade Readiness Analyzer (AURA tool) is unable to generate an analysis report on a NetBackup Appliance, the following system trace event may appear on the NetInsights Console (within a 24-hour period)

Error Message

Health maintenance plugin failed to collect the upgrade readiness status because the Appliance Upgrade Readiness Analyzer cannot generate the analysis report.

Cause

If the appliance has the health maintenance plugin installed (either by the separate add-on package or an upgrade rpm that includes it), the plugin may fail to collect the upgrade readiness status. You may not get the latest upgrade readiness status on the NetInsight's Console.

One or more of the following issues may cause the problem:

• An upgrade or analyzer tool process is already running on the appliance.
• The previous upgrade process failed.
• The signature check of the analyzer tool package failed.
• The analyzer tool does not exist on the appliance.
• The analyzer tool has internal functional errors.

Solution

1. Log in to the NetBackup Appliance Shell Menu and run the following command:
   Manage > Software > List Downloaded
2. If multiple analyzer tool packages appear in the command output, remove all packages except for the latest version by running the following command:
   Delete <analyzer tool package name>
   Make sure to keep only the latest version of the analyzer tool on the appliance.
3. If there is no analyzer tool on the appliance, download it from the following link and then install it using the Install > <analyzer tool package name> command.

4. If the AURA tool can generate the report after performing step 2 or step 3, the problem is resolved.
